Purchase Guide
When purchasing artwork, you are not simply buying a physical object, you are acquiring a unique, original creation that carries artistic, cultural, and potential financial value. To ensure clarity and fairness, the following framework outlines pricing, payment options, and ownership rights.
Pricing Strategy
Transparency: Each artwork is priced based on size, medium, complexity, and the artist’s current market position.
Consistency: Prices are non-negotiable to ensure fairness across collectors and to protect the long-term value of the work.
Market Considerations: Pricing reflects both material and creative investment, as well as exhibition history and demand.
Sales & Payment Options
Full Payment: Payment in full is required prior to the release of the artwork, unless otherwise agreed.
Deposit Option: A 50% non-refundable deposit may be made to reserve a work, with the remaining balance due before collection or shipping.
Payment Plans: Flexible instalment plans (typically over 2–6 months) are available upon request for works above a certain value. The artwork will be released upon receipt of the final payment.
Accepted Methods: Bank transfer, PayPal, and credit/debit cards (processing fees may apply).
Ownership & Rights
Transfer of Ownership: Ownership of the physical artwork transfers to the client only after full payment has been received.
Artist’s Rights: The artist retains all copyright and reproduction rights unless otherwise agreed in writing. The client may not reproduce, distribute, or use the artwork for commercial purposes without prior permission.
Resale Clause (Optional): Should the collector wish to resell the artwork, the artist reserves the right to be notified and/or to receive a resale royalty in accordance with applicable regulations.
Delivery & Shipping
Collection: Artwork may be collected in person by arrangement.
Shipping: Packaging and shipping can be arranged at an additional cost.
Responsibility: Risk of loss or damage transfers to the client once the artwork leaves the studio or gallery, unless insured.
