Mindful Painting

An embodied approach towards creative expression

Mindful Painting is a powerful tool to integrate in your creative practice. It can help you gain confidence by learning how to trust the creative process and build a sense of purpose by creating something you can call your own. Deepen your connection with yourself through the simple, but powerful, means of art and mindfulness. As we paint together, I’ll help you shift your mindset, find inspiration, access your creative voice, and make artwork that you can truly love.

Focusing on increased self-awareness, self-compassion, and self-reflection, you’ll learn how to turn art into a new way to look inward. This practice is ideal if you’re looking to plant the seeds to more deeply engage with yourself and cultivate inner resources to support yourself and your creativity. I truly believe that by expressing ourselves through intuitive painting our mind can become more open to seeing much more than words are able to describe. There is so much to look at both inside and outside our minds that can only ever be communicated through shapes, lines and colors. Whether you’re an artist and feeling stuck in the process, or live a lifestyle that doesn’t offer enough time and space to slow down, or aren’t even sure if art is quite your thing, Mindful Painting is the perfect place to explore your creativity and connect with yourself.

A Space For Art & Presence

Mindful Painting is for You if you…

  • Are feeling mentally drained and emotionally flat out and longing for a healing, imaginative and playful escape that lights you up

  • Want to liberate your approach to creation, letting go of perfectionism and comparison

  • Are looking for a new healthy, fun and fulfilling experience

  • Are feeling stuck and seeking inspiration to bring joy back into your creative practice

  • Are seeking for a mindfulness practice that is healing, imaginative and playful

A workshop includes:

  • Preparing for expression through a guided meditation, journaling and charcoal exercise

  • Engaging with simple and effective abstract painting techniques to connect with your inner creative voice

  • Build community through a closing circle, a space in which, if you wish to, you can share your experience with Bea and/or the other participants (if group workshop). Bea will share tools for you to reflect on and observe your painting.

The art practice will focus on the process and not on the final outcome, allowing in this way your creativity to flow freely and find new directions along the path (Reminder: you don't need to be a professional painter to practice or appreciate art)

Each workshop is approximately 2hrs and is specifically tailored based on the individual’s or the group’s or needs and desires. We will work together on building your own creative practice through art and presence, and you can choose the areas to explore. Abstraction is my personal favorite means of painting, and you are welcome to explore any other techniques, styles, and subject matter you’d like.

Sessions can be organized for tailored support:

one-to-one, community, couple/family and team building.

Testimonials from Mindful Painting Sessions

  • “Participating in Bea's mindful painting workshop was a transformative experience. It rekindled my dormant creativity and allowed me to express my emotions through art in a meditative and playful manner. The shared journey with fellow participants turned strangers into friends, highlighting the power of collective creativity. This workshop taught me the importance of experimentation and play as vehicles for self-expression and self-care. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking to reconnect with their creative side. Whether you're new to painting or an experienced artist, Bea's approach will expand your horizons and deepen your creative practice.”

  • “Beatrice is one of the many wonderful people I’ve met here in London. She is accompanying me in my discovery of the world of art, a world that, as a scientific mind that I am, I have always seen is very distant and almost impossible to relate to. Through abstract art Beatrice is helping me to let go of control, to listen to my intuition and to express what is inside me. Letting my emotions be expressed openly. A very intense process but whose results are absolutely fascinating and of great personal growth.”

    — Linda Pozz, software engineer

  • “As I expected, the session was the perfect way to get back into painting after almost two decades! I really appreciated how visual and thorough Beatrice’s presentation was. It was very well explained. I loved guided painting. It was very generous and insightful to be able to hear all of Bea’s thought process and suggestions while painting. It helped so much to put me at ease and to just try things, but I also still felt the freedom to go off on my own and try whatever came to my mind too. By contrasting what I did to what Bea and the other painters were doing, I also learnt a lot about the process of this kind of painting.”

    — Hinal Tanna, data scientist & tech startup founder

  • “I left the sessions with Bea feeling inspired and opened up to experimentation and the act of creation itself. I find abstract painting challenging because of its limitless possibilities but Bea has a skill to understand the potential behind the work that helps me feel more confident when engaging with the process.”

    — Carla Castadiva, photographer

  • "I am still thinking about yesterday's amazing experience with meditation, charcoal and acrylic paint. I managed to relax, experiment and discover something about myself and the creative process. Thank you."
